In addition to passing Spanish Padel Coach Educations, passed over 150 hours of theoretical and practical training and practice accuracy, we have done over 1 year of research on players and coaches. We have observed lessons, filmed them and analyzed them. More and more players stop playing as they start feeling pain in different places. We noticed that no coach noticed the potential risk in the strokes, if they were done slightly wrong, as all the coaches were on the other side of the net, and from a distance, certain things are impossible to see.
We wanted to know more about the reason for pains and injuries, so we started to study Muscular System and Movement Sciencea. This gave us a deep insight to the body and combined with the knowledge of padel strokes, we wanted to understand, how padel strokes effect the body and more important, how wrong execution effeted the body. Therefore, we started a study/ research in March 2022 with a doctor, a sports physiotherapists and a researcher in muscles and tendons. We finalized the studies in July 2023, and have during that period, tested and measured how correct storkes vs wrong executed strokes effect the mucles, tendors and energy usage. Our studies have clearly shown us, why players get tennis elbow, pain in wrist, lower back, knee etc. And we can therefore also guide players, how to do the strokes correct, so they aviod the pains and injuries.
Read about the typical pains and injuries and our treatment below.
You feel the pain arround the wrist but often stronger on the inside and/ or at the side of the little finger.
You feel the pain in the lower back, often oppisite site of you primary arm. It can be so intense that you feel pain down in the backside of the leg.
One of the most common areas of pain from padel. The pain can be either just under the elbow or just above the elbow.
The whole body is active during a padel game and as you move in bended legs, the knees work alot. If you move wrong, your knees are hurt.
You feel the pain in your shoulder (primary side). The pain is often slightly below the shoulder blade or over the shoulder down the arm.
You achilles are super sensitive and even the inside of your calf. Wrong standing, wrong movement and wrong shoes effect your achillis.
Physiotherapeutic Padel Lesson
A Physiotherapeutic Padel Lesson takes between 1 hour and 15 minutes to nearly 2 hours, depending on where you have pain/ injuries. This lession is so timeconsuming because we go through so many things on a very detailed level. Besides locating the area of pain on your body, we examine your equipment, see how your racket fits you, how you hold the racket, how your soles are worn on your shoes etc. We examine your padel technique very detailed to see, how you hit the ball, how you move and most important of all, how you use your muscles. When finding errors, we explain why this is wrong and how to correct it.
For instance, when you suffer from tennis elbow, there are 22 different things to look for. Some players are more exposed to injuries then others and all do one or more of these things wrong. Some have greater cause for pain than others and other players might do the same thing(s) wrong as you without getting pain. And on the other hand, what have helped others might not help you. Why exactly you get pain depends on which of these 22 things you do wrong, how you are build, how hard you hit compared to others and many other factors.
A Physiotherapeutic Padel Lesson costs 80-100€.
If you afterwards will take padel lessons to focus on learning the correct healthy technique, you pay 35€ per hour.
